Composing her future: Camuñez’s apprenticeship at Bravo! Vail

The Bravo! Vail Music Festival has a long history of nurturing young talent across a variety of fields. Continuing this tradition, Bravo! Vail welcomed Battle Mountain High School senior Kim Camuñez last year as an apprentice through Vail Valley Partnership’s two-year CareerWise program.

A Vail Valley native, Kim was raised in a large family with four siblings and Hispanic/Latino parents. She has played the violin for seven years and has always felt a deep connection to music — making her a natural fit for Bravo! Vail.

Kim began her apprenticeship in June 2024 and has worked part-time as project coordinator throughout her senior year, gaining valuable experience in marketing and sales, even before she graduated high school. This fall, she will attend Colorado Mountain College while continuing to work part-time at Bravo! Vail.
